One supplier
One supplier instead of five
The price per part is not your real cost. The time spent coordinating cutting, bending, welding, paint and transport is part of it.

The scenario we see often
A product goes through a cutting shop, another for bending, a third for welding, a fourth for paint. A carrier links them all.
Each shop does its part well. But nobody sees the whole product. When the cut tube does not fit the bent part, each points at the other.
The client coordinates, follows up, ships and absorbs the delays. That time appears on no invoice. It is paid nonetheless.
The comparison table
| Five suppliers | Paco Laser |
|---|---|
| 5 quotes to compare, each with different assumptions | 1 quote, assumptions and exclusions in writing |
| 5 purchase orders, 5 invoices, 5 payment terms | 1 purchase order, 1 invoice |
| 4 shipments between steps, at your cost and risk | 0 intermediate shipments: everything under one roof or with a partner we coordinate |
| 5 lead times chained together; one delay shifts everything | 1 committed lead time, schedule fixed in advance |
| 5 quality checks, each on its own step | 1 check on the finished product, report on request |
| Nobody accountable when the part does not fit | 1 accountable party: us |
| Your engineers review every step | Our engineer and draftspeople review the design once, for all steps |
Putting a number on coordination
Count the time actually spent on an order: calls, emails, price comparisons, delivery follow-ups, rework. For a five-step assembly, our clients often land between 4 and 8 hours per order.
At $60 or $80 an hour for a buyer or an engineer, that is $240 to $640 per order, before a single error. A part remade after shipping easily doubles that amount.
That is why we do not try to be the cheapest on each operation taken alone. We aim to be cheaper on the delivered product.
Compare the price of the finished, delivered product and the time you no longer spend on it. That is the only calculation that matters.
